Her Story
Hi, I'm Priti Narain — the founder of The Lotus Project and a civil engineering student at Hofstra University. From a young age, I've been deeply involved in academics, leadership, and extracurriculars, always pushing myself to learn, lead, and give back.
I attended a Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school where I focused on engineering, robotics, and drone technology. I served as captain of my robotics competition team and as a designer for my drone team, which advanced to nationals in its very first year.
Beyond the classroom, I was actively involved in the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society (as webmaster), SkillsUSA, and Key Club — organizations that shaped my sense of service and community from an early age.

The Heart Behind It
Despite being involved in so many activities, I remember how overwhelming it felt trying to figure out what I should be doing for college — which classes to take, which extracurriculars actually mattered, and how to build a strong application.
I realized that a lot of students feel the same way: capable, but without clear direction. The guidance I was searching for wasn't always easy to find — and that gap stayed with me.
That's why I created The Lotus Project. Through mentorship, opportunity support, and personalized guidance, I help students find internships, build strong résumés, explore meaningful extracurriculars, and navigate the college process with confidence.
My goal is to make the high school experience more purposeful, less confusing, and ultimately more empowering — so students can grow with clarity, confidence, and direction.
